Our Story

How our family came about.  Well its kind of a long story. haha Hubs and I have been together for 12 years! I wouldn't call us high school sweethearts , maybe young love.  :)

I had meet Morgan during the summer of 2001.  School just let our for the summer and I started a new job at the movie theaters.  He was actually my boss' best friend and he came into the theater and I wanted to meet him.  A few days later we met and started dating from there.  He was 18 and I was 17.  He just graduated high school, a school that was 10 minutes away from my high school.  I just ended my junior year.We dated all throughout my senior year.  He even took me to my senior prom.  We were young and in love.

In 2002, right after I graduated high school he decided to join the US Navy.  He left for boot camp in August 2002.  It was quite a blow for me.  We had never been apart for more than a couple days since we met.  We were both teenagers and long distance was never anything we experienced before.  Most people just assumed we would fizzle out and eventually go separate ways.  I mean he was in Illinois at boot camp and I was in California going to college.  Nope, we weathered the storm and stayed together. Its tough being such a young age and being in a long distance relationship.    Odds were against us but we managed to get through the BS.

In March 2003 on one of the many weekends that we spent traveling back and fourth, from CA to IL.  We made the crazy decision to get married!  Once again.... being young and dumb.  At the tender age of 19, us babies got married on March 24, 2003.  No family, no wedding dress, and in Illinois.  It was never the way I pictured getting married but it was the best decision we ever made together.

In June 2006 we finally had our big wedding.  Our wedding was in San Diego, in a church, and all our friends and family were present!  It was one of the best days of my life.  We were able to celebrate our love in front of everyone we loved and in the city we love!

On July 26, 2009 in Bremerton, Washington we were blessed with our first born.  Our lil girl Amelia.  She has a fun loving spirit, loves to laugh and is the sweetest lil girl I know.  She is a lil bit of a tomboy.  She wears tutus and loves firetrucks.

On June 11, 2012 in Okinawa, Japan we were blessed a second time with our lil tough guy Nolan.  He is full of curiosity, loves his big sister and loves Monsters Inc.  He tries so hard to keep up with Mills, he's got the bumps and bruises to prove it.

So far his military career has taken us across the country
2 years in Norfolk, Virginia
1 year in San Diego, California
4 years in Bremerton, Washington
3 years in Okinawa , Japan
Currently we are still in Okinawa and since Hubs got another 3 years here a little bit longer.

 Morgan and I have been together for more then a decade.  Our relationship has seen its ups and downs.   I'm really lucky to have met my best friend and even luckier to have married him.
